It seems to me that HQ are putting event teams into the position that they have power without authority, which is not a nice position to be in. In some instances, to ensure events are Covid ready, won't conversations be needed with landowners? If so, how are teams supposed to confirm the event is Covid ready, if they're not supposed to be talking to the landowners? Have I got that scenario right? If so, it makes no sense, and just increases the stress levels of the volunteer teams. |

Yes I got one of those, "fill in the checklist, or else" emails too, not especially happy it was to my email rather than the event one.

Possibly a miss typed tweet from someone not fully in on the National Trust/ parkrun discussions, but suggests that their locations will be back "next month". twitter.com |

My private e-mail address! That's why I couldn't bloody find it this morning and thought I'd made the whole thing up. |

Spideog, they've previously said that they would be assessing in mid-June, I assume that's still the case. Next month could mean 26th June, the first Saturday after the planned end of restrictions. Eden Project are doing timed entry tickets, & there's been no announcement about parkrun, so I assume no parkrun restart on the 5th. |

It would be a bit weird for the NT to open to parkrun any earlier considering their own members have to book from a limited number of spaces in advance just to walk around their gardens on a Saturday.

I think all the EDs must have got that email. I got it too. I'm going to ignore it. I'm not in a position to do all the tasks on the list. I have a job. I can only really do parkrun admin at the weekend. We are going to restart with a new course and I'm not anywhere close to getting the paperwork done for that. They will have to wait. And given that we are one of not many events in London that have landowner permission, I don't see that as a problem.

LindsD I assume to get the new course checked/authorised you'd have to contact the landowner anyway. Or will HQ do all that? |

A mid June decision from the National Trust would push them back into July for a restart of their hosted events. Things could all move very quickly though after next Monday and people are inside pubs and however many people at Wembley (?) or in Portugal. Then people might realise that going for a run around a park is the least risky leisure activity that they could be doing. |
