Our core team is also in contact, informally, with the people at our NT site. So long as Boris' roadmap holds up, there's nothing I am aware of that will prevent restart at NT sites on June 26th.

For what it's worth - my understanding is that their issue is that having hundreds of people turn up en masse without prior notice is inconsistent with their national policy of regulating visitor numbers through prior booking of limited arrival slots. They don't, reasonably and understandably, want to set a precedent which could place an additional burden on their local staff/volunteers. There is, to the best of my knowledge, no declared issue with the parkrun framework.

The issue has always been the 'before & after' bits.
When you look at the UKA Guidance, & how events have operated, there hasn't been much change to the 'run' part.

CA, that is the dilemma and why a one size fits all approach causes challenges.

The conflict between HQ and local events is also quite sad reading as there seem to be real mixed messages and local teams finding themselves caught between two people and also doing what they do voluntarily

So, Kingston parkrun has a license for 400 finishers/participants.
It's right inbetween Bushy & Richmond Park, which won't restart before the end of June.

Dominos...

I think HQ is planning with this in mind.

Perhaps that wasn't the best choice of words. I meant well aware that opening events where neighbouring events are closed is not v safe or responsible.

If those 3 were off on their own somewhere, then you might get away with just them opening later.

With Bushy & Richmond off, then Kingston will be off. Thats 2000 parkrunners.
Old Deer Park is usually <200, Crane Park <300, Hanworth <100
The only large event within 4miles of Kingston is Wimbledon, ~500-600.
Further out, Hazelwood <150, Osterley ~300, Bedfont Lakes <200

Bushy & Richmond off could take out another 10 local events.
