The UK delivery charge for pro:direct is £4, so could just increase the charge to £5 & have £1 towards t-shirt costs.

"Are there actually parkrunners in your park at 0845 ?" that's when we say the First Timers briefing is (though usually starts a few minutes after), as there's then a main briefing & a move to the start. |

Whilst looking for something else (support for parkrun by the Welsh Government) I stumbled across this in Hansard dated 13th Feb 2020 - I wonder if anything tangible will result. "Nick Smith (Blaenau Gwent) (Lab) In the first weekend of this year, nearly 200,000 people participated in parkrun events. As the chair of the new all-party parliamentary group on parkrun, may I ask the Minister to meet me to discuss how the Government can support this new social phenomenon and improve public health? Nigel Adams I will definitely meet the hon. Gentleman to discuss this issue. Park runs have taken off phenomenally well across the country. As yet, my schedule has been so busy that I have not managed to fit one in, but I am sure that the opportunity will arise. Park runs are great things—they are great for community meeting—so let us potentially do one together." hansard.parliament.uk |

IF they're as good as the APPG on Modern Languages, don't hold your breath.

Richard - 'If they scrap V25's, but keep 100+, it will lead to more moaning about people not volunteering' I imagine they might then revert to a 100/250/500 shirt based on volunteering and / or running but you are right it will still not please all. |

The Saint - those sort of questions are usually a foot into something else - they get the Minister to visit or meet and hit them with the poor local economy/rise in obesity and all other local issues.

Activation Zones - could give our eager tourists something to do while they wait for us to arrive.

I share everyone's cynicism but I had earlier done a search on the Welsh Athletics site then the UK Athletics site for parkrun and found virtually no mentions, it could be that their site search engines are crap but it is interesting that the bodies you would naively imagine were going to be interested in running don't seem to be.

There has been an APPG for Running in Parliament for several years - not sure whether it is still active. There are thousands across many varied subjects/hobbies and beliefs. A bit like after school clubs. blog.parkrun.com
