Volunteering at Bodelwyddan this morning, all set up, ready to go (The RD having done a risk assessment and decided it was safe), when somebody from the castle comes over and tells us the grounds are closed due to the high winds.....nice of them to let us know at 08:45!!!

I can't go into too much detail, as it would take too long. I was v.c. at my local parkrun this morning & I was on hand to watch the lady writing down manual barcodes get verbally abused by two male runners.

I did try to explain to the two runners in question about the no barcode, no run rule, but they just weren't having it. The volunteer was obviously upset by all this. I just hope it hasn't ruined her weekend.

Bloody hell, how hard can it be to print off a barcode or purchase a couple of wristbands with your number on.

In the end, I helped process the results, rest assured, those two ar*****es didn't get a time or position.

That sounds awful 12bar. WE've had that happen a few times. Usually it's the 'lost on the course' story.

No excuse for behaviour like that 12bar.

I've been given a time 1 minute too fast today as have both my boys and maybe everyone else

I enjoyed Victoria Dock today. Free coffee and biscuits at the end which is nice. I will have to stick a little donation in. It was also my first scan by phone but it didn't work so the young lady just took a photo and they added my time later. If it goes wrong then so be it, but it was kind of them to sort it out later especially as it was my fastest run of the year.

I also note they smashed their attendance record of 252, as 349 attended. It seemed a good few London Marathon runners were there visiting ahead of tomorrow

Well done ER!

My 11yo smashed his pb by 3 minutes to get 32:xx, being paced by his 17yo brother obviously better than running with shanksi! I missed it due to work. This working every second Saturday is a real bummer.
