Whinlatter parkrun is brilliant 
I especially loved the safety bit of the brief briefing - somewhere along the lines of
"it's a fell, there's weather - some of it is still on the ground and icy - you'll see where, it's white"
wasn't intending to run any - but fast walked - aided by my "stairlift" dog and ran much of the downs. It's tough - but fabulous!

Stonehaven Parkrun yesterday, second time I've done it. Never enjoyed it the first time, but did yesterday.
Maybe because I wore trail shoes and managed to run the steep hill three times. First time it was muddy and I walked the hill twice.
Ended up faster by nearly a minute yesterday.
A challenging wee course and not busy. I would recommend it.

Twilight Runner
Been pondering a few alterations to the existing parkrun format.
Maybe once a month there could be a 10k parkrun called "parkrun plus?"
Also, between May and September perhaps an evening parkrun called "twilight parkrun"?

Too late my ex club runs a parkrun plus session. They always ran a speed session in the park in the park until parkrun turned up. The speed session was then moved until after parkrun so that people can then do parkrun the do a speed session afterwards.

We used to do parkrun on a Thursday evening before the park shut at around 7pm every Thursday, and it was called Darkrun! It fell by the way side a few years ago. We also had a page on facebook called Darkrunners which is where we posted stuff that was too rude to put on the parkrun official page!!
