SAINT, I would guess that courses measured with a Jones counter may be among the shorter ones. They don't add the extra 'we don't want to be short' 50m! Of course there are some well known short courses.

I saw the Fetch vest leaving the pre run briefing at Edinburgh as I stood on the start line and wondered who it was. Didnt see you at the end though. Brave in a vest, it was still pretty chilly IMO. However, you chose a great week with no wind. I was 40 seconds faster than last week as a result of the better conditions

Are the first timer briefings aimed at true first timers or also at first time at this parkrunners (intending to tourist next week)?
