My eldest did her first parkrun with grid today 6 years old, she held something back for the last km it seems!

Sigh, it is the V25, I did both my first-time briefings on the same day as token sorting so they don't count.

Purps, kids are the best interval training/speed work going in my experience!

Sorry to miss you at the end Lip Gloss. I was coming over to say hello when I was waylaid by one of the Run Directors from the early days at Inverness. That is the problem with only making occasional visits!
Was that you getting the 50 run shout out at the beginning Nessie?
Glad I did not volunteer to pace. The mud and a few extra post-holiday pounds meant I was flat out to get 20.16.

Kobi (crazy Springer Spaniel running buddy) and I did Vogrie Parkrun yesterday. It was Kobi's first Vogrie Parkrun, he has done Keswick, Cramond and Perth. He hauled me up all the hills. Several people said it must be easier running with him pulling me along. Not blooming likely. I had to stop at one point as I thought my lungs were going to explode with the exertion. It was almost a PB for that course though, my wee running buddy is the best.

Nessie
I sort of got a mention at the start, 57 - but Wendy had got confused and gave Billy the wrong surname!
Impressive getting that time in the conditions - pretty slippy in a lot of places.
Sorry I didn't say hello LG - I spotted you at the start but was with my friend and my daughter, neither of whom know of my "alter ego" (don't know why I'm still a bit shy about the whole "friends off the internet" thing - must be my age...). I'd hoped to catch you at the end, but managed to twist my ankle on the grassy bit on the first big loop, which slowed me down a bit, so by the time I'd finished, you had disappeared.
Now I've got the 50 out of the way, my next target is sub-30. Not sure I'll get there at Whin Park, but if I get a decent winter training in, hopefully when we go back to the Bught in the spring.
