By the way, I went down a rabbit hole when the 5K app didn't have a stat. I wondered since I started parkrun how many UK events I missed and why. Apparently I have missed attending a parkrun 43 times in 11 years (out of 530 possible opportunities). Not sure what that tells me, but it's interesting to me! |

That's a tricky calculation - add on possible christmas days, a certain number of NY doubles, subtract the Covid pause.

Charlie Pearce used to keep a spreadsheet that generated a theoretical maximum number of worldwide attendances ,starting at Bushy event #1, for a parkrunner with unlimited means of transport opportunities. Looks like my link to the sheet no longer works. For myself, I am on 301 events from a calculated max of 641 from my debut parkrun on 11/06/11 (or out of 366 from when my home run started on 10/09/16). |

You'll be glad to know I take notice of NYD doubles, Xmas Days and the COVID pause. I didn't use Charlie's Max parkruns spreadsheet as the UK is much easier to work out than worldwide. If anyone wants to have a go then NYD doubles were available up to and including 2019; the COVID pause allowed 13 runs (and a NYD double in 2020 and then after we came back you had 22 runs in 2021. Xmas day was a Saturday that year so you don't get an extra.

so, with NYD day doubles and Xmas days included, the max runs/volunteers you could do in a year are: 2014 56 2015 56 2016 57 2017 56 2018 56 2019 56 2020 13 2021 22 2022 54 2023 54 |
