But I'm not going to Glasgow, I'm going to Belfast Might also be looking for a parkrun in the vicinity of the Kelpies the following weekend. |

I did my 100th at Monsal trail and it was also my 50th birthday. I had spent so much planning to get to that point and I ended up being so disappointed Not in the course. But after the race briefing to the crowd on the start line she didn’t announce any milestones at all she just said “and it’s dawns 50th birthday” and as people cheered (I think there was cheers) she said “oh and enjoy your 100th parkrun” it felt like an afterthought and then immediately said “go” And nobody heard only me. I dunno I’d just spent so long building to it and it was all very very flat (not the course that’s an uphill out and down hill Back lol ) The next week I did one over Leicester way(braunston?) the race director was amazing with a tannoy and announced the mile stones one by one and every body cheered and clapped and I thought “bugger I wish I’d done my 100th here “. So on that basis between Monsal and glossop I’d go glossop haha 🤣 |
