Thanks @Big_G , speciality bread would do down very well with one particularly carb-enthusiastic part of our clan.

Hopefully not too over-ambitious, but aiming for Shepton Mallet parkrun this week (part of my first, hugely belated, glastonbury experience). It will be an interesting test of discipline.

I shall be in Glastonbury soon, though not for "that festival" but another little festival at a pub in the town itself. I'll be staying in Street with a parkrun almost on my doorstep. I did notice though that Street parkrun were cancelling the upcoming event due to lack of volunteers. I wonder if that has something to do with it being the Glasto weekend?

Possibly, although the 13th July is also cancelled.

57.5 Degrees of Pain
I'm off to Ireland for a wedding in August. We just got all the details for the weekend which include walking to the local parkrun Saturday morning from where we are all staying (as the bride's sister is a regular parkrunner).

The only problem is that plotting the route from accommodation to parkrun gives a distance of 17km. Something doesn't seem right...

We had a critical medical incident at parkrun on Saturday and had a team debrief meeting last night. We’ve come up with some learning points which I’ll put in a buddies blog later today in case they’re useful to any other ED’s here. Happy to add anybody who wants to buddies.

@HellsBells

I'd noted an incident in amongst the 'noise' at the weekend but couldn't remember if that was 'your' event or not. First thought is to express the hope that everybody involved is OK - both the person who suffered the incident and all those involved in the response. Second is to acknowledge and support the approach taken to securing the ongoing privacy of those involved.

I'm RD this weekend (not ED) but I'd like to share any available and applicable learning with our team. If I could be buddied in order to access that, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Thank you. Hope you are all OK. I think I am a buddy already but if not I'd like to please learn.

please add me as well, thanks!

We had defib training last week from our regional ambassador which was a good reminder of what to do. It also triggered a sharing of information of things to consider like, how to contact the duty ranger at the park, how to give access to ambulances etc which some of the newer RDs might not be aware of or might have forgotten. Well worth a refresher
