Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Next parkrun day will be the appearance of Daniel and Tallulah, the fridge at Stevenage Parkrun. Should add a little extra fun

Polkemmet Parkrun for me this weekend. It was the last Parkrun I did before lockdown & everyone knew it was coming and it was a sad day.

Forecast is for wet all week and dry on Saturday - we are likely to be very busy. Again.

I was at Mile End on 14/3/20. I'd run there, but really wasn't feeling it, so opted to volunteer instead. The trip home was quite sombre. The following weekend was the first Saturday in almost 4 years that I hadn't either run, volunteered (or both) at a parkrun. The weekend after that was when my first C19 symptoms showed.

After the Great Interrunum, one of the landowners at Mile End dragged their feet a little with permissions, so I ran Hackney Marshes on 24/7/21 & 31/7/21 - finally returning to Mile End on 7/8/21.

Yeah, we took a picture of all of the people who used to have coffee together. I don't think we've been all together ever since. Lots of people moved.

I ran Workington parkrun on 14/3/20 and then a local half marathon on 15/3/20. Not everyone was impressed that the half marathon went ahead, and they offered a virtual option at the last minute for people who didn't want to risk being in a crowd.

I never ran the last parkrun before lockdown as I was Marshall at the D33. We had to change the way things were given to the runners, not being able to touch them, take their empty wrappers etc and sanitise at every opportunity. We thought it a bit OTT at the time not realising what was to come the following week

I ran Cambridge Half on 8th March and then Bedford parkrun as a Fetchie meet up on 14th - last bit of socialising I did for a long time
