Two coach loads went out to Cornerstone Lakes parkrun in Chicago today. 165 finishers, by far the largest turnout at this young event (they had 11 finishers last week), and the event has posted on Facebook that it was the largest turnout for any USA event today. Really nice, 2 laps around a lake, on flat paths. A bit of a trek out there from the city, not possible using public transport and expensive to Uber, but glad to have done it as part of this trip. That was my 50th parkrun location and 9th country |

I amazingly have had three palindrome times and two of them were the same. 34:43 in both 2019 and 2021 and 31:13 on Christmas Day 2022 |

Only done it once, amazingly. 23:32. I remember being disappointed with that time when it happened, I would absolutely rip your hand off for that now!!

Had a very slow SAndhurst parkrun after doing a club track session the night before. The track session was very good, but left me much more tired than expected and parkrun became a recovery run. 6 minutes slower than my predicted DrK time. Still, the recovery paid off and I was able to do a moderately hilly but very grassy XC race yesterday without having to walk. I'll be missing out next week as my next race is on a Saturday. I know, really. Someone should say something. |

Looks like I've managed 4 palindromes in 339 runs (just shy of 8 years)
