With my professional head on, I'd say take your cold out for a gentle run if you don't have a fever and aren't short of breath, but keep away from parkrun because (1) you'll run harder than you should, and (2) nobody else wants your lurgy.

Thanks. I'll go for a gentle run sometime over the weekend. Parkrun can wait.

I’ve always been told never, ever run with a chest cold but if it’s a head cold go by how you feel—as long as you trust yourself to stop if you starts to feel worse.

(Most of the last few pages should be on the parkrun thread: the place for arguments and moans about volunteering: this is meant to the non-moaning parkrun thread.
Colds: I ran with one a couple of weeks ago. I ran harder than advisable, my mate beat me for the first time in a long while, and I spent the rest of the day lying down. I advise not parkrunning.)

One of my faster ones, despite the railway bridge zig-zag-ing, as a kid (many holidays in wales) I was obsessed with the railway going 'through' the castle
