There is a paying carpark just 100m away which had plenty of space - however the cheaper is option is Tesco (about 400m walk and free for 2 or 3 hours). Enjoyed the course - basically a rectangle where you go up the hill on one side of the field, through some woods and back down the other side of the field. And then repeat. For a speedy chap like you, I suggest getting a good starting position as narrow start and then the path generally only allows 2 to run alongside each other

So, as discussed earlier, I was considering either Bressay or Amsterdam for my 100th parkrun, probably in July. If I'm going to make Bressay work, though, I need to book now, and I don't want to book a whole bunch of connecting transport now with the silliness going on with Scotrail at the minute, so I'll put that on the back burner. Amsterdam's not going to work either because they're scalping tourists for everything they can get just now as far as hotel rooms are concerned - making up for lost time, I think.
So I'm back to thinking about what I might do. What I'm looking for is a parkrun which is relatively close to a mainline railway and also, possibly, a Hilton or Holiday Inn hotel, where, after the run, I can have breakfast, get cleaned up, and then spend the rest of Saturday having a nice explore and maybe a couple of beers, and then toddle back at my leisure on Sunday.
I can get to most places on the railway, I'm an hour from Doncaster which is one change from anywhere, so I'm location agnostic, but I'm not wanting Humberside, or "actual" Kent. Events beginning with EIJKOPQUVWY or Z would be particularly welcome.
Currently Jesmond Dene is looking like an option, but I've done the East Coast Mainline so many times, so maybe a different journey might be nice. I looked at Plymvalley, but that seems a faff to get to. I could tick off another London event, but I'd rather do something else.
If all else fails, then I'll stick with Cleethorpes.
Anyone got any recommendations?

Exmouth and Exeter Riverside would tick the E box. Exeter is obviously on the main line, there is a Holiday Inn Express 5 minutes walk from the course and not far from St Davids. Not my favourite course though. Exmouth is not on the main line but only half an hour more, there is a Premier Inn right by the start and it will be lovely in July...

Storeys Field - there is a bus direct from the train station to the start and the Turing Locke hotel is 50 yards away

Edinburgh, Eglinton, Kirkcaldy, Queen's Park (hilly!), Victoria (Glasgow) maybe?

K could be King George V Playing Fields aka KGV aka Cheltenham's little sister. Not the most exciting course (grass, three laps of a rec) but not too far from a Premier Inn and Cheltenham's on a direct line from Donny I believe (might need to change at B'ham.) Nice town to wander round too.
