I'm happy to buy the kit. Funds a laudable organisation. It might be over priced but the quality is OK. Or am I missing some objection to buying parkrun HQ merch? G

HG - I think some unhappiness was caused during his companies early launch days and using parkruns information to contact users.
I've not bought anything because: 1. I'm from when the kit was free 2. I'm not a huge advocate of parkrun and what it has become down the years so no desire to be a billboard 3. It feels a bit like a business spawned out of a captive audience with products very deliberately aimed at a certain type of person(a bit smart here as they have aimed at the right part of the parkrun market) 4. I don't need anything

I have to say, it’s decent quality, but personally I wouldn’t have paid for one.
One thing that confuses me a bit is the Contra stuff, which kind of seems like it’s in competition with the parkrun stuff (ie, both sell shirts), and yet Contra is also on the parkrun site, and says profits go to parkrun. I’ve never noticed anyone ever wearing the Contra gear though, and the apricot shirts are a different brand, aren’t they?

HG, I am not keen on branded merchandise of any description and find the parkrun gear to be very overpriced with it. Just my personal opinion.

Yeah, that’s what it says on their site, with profits going to parkrun. It just seems a bit odd, to me, that it is a separate brand, with a different one producing the official apricot shirts.
