HT - bushy is pretty fast BUT it does have grass so if its not bone dry etc......

I thought Poole was fast , where we always traveled when the fast one was needed.

The pan flat seafront courses might be fast on a good day, but their scores are more affected by adverse conditions.

Hartlepool (again) is a great example. Fantastic conditions when I ran there, but some of the regulars mentioned it could get very windy.

And as a reminder, there is some kind of Mistral most weeks on York Knavesmire. Even in summer. In winter it can be very hard work indeed!

I went to Congleton today, which is #103 on the list, but the winner today ran it in 15:58 (the course male record is 15:19). It's three laps of Astbury Mere, again the path can be narrow in parts but the pack soon thins out and after that the laps mean it's less congested than either the Wammy or Isabel.

After 173 parkruns at 114 different events can you guess where my PB (time & WAVA) was achieved? 😉
Strange, because I wouldn't have considered Congleton as being anywhere near as 'fast' as half-a-dozen or so above it on that list.

Weath - I'm surprised by how low Poole Newbury and Basingstoke are rated

Not on the lists because of only being four weeks old but having ran Durlston County Park parkrun (in Swanage) last weekend… Jesus that is a tough one. Brutal coastal path climbs but on my it was scenic.

Can imagine it’ll forever be one of the slowest parkruns going.

Wouldn’t want to do it mid Feb with a south westerly storm coming in… but an April sunny day? Oh alright then.

Ooh a Swanage parkrun? On our annual week with the family there my sister in law and I always run to the lighthouse - I shall look forward to adding the parkrun to my list.

I had a funny incident while scanning.

There was a little lad hovering about not sure what to do. His dad encouraged him over to me and he snuck over and chucked his paper barcode and finish token into my bucket for the scanned tokens.

His dad pounced over, picked out the barcode and gave it to his son and directed him to give that to me and so I scanned it and then said oh, I need your token as well. The lad bent over picked out a token and said this was mine.

I was sceptical, but a quick look at the number and it was higher than any of those on my screen and I assumed he had somehow picked out the right token
