Still enjoying summer here and definitely making the most of it.

Annoying on the RHR @Welshpoppy but best to be cautious, I think. Hopefully a good sleep will help.

Good luck tomorrow @Hilly Enjoy, be proud and hope you get the result you are capable of running!!

@Torque Steer Good to hear that 2 minutes running interleaved with 1 minutes of walking was OK. I did a similar session today: 17 repeats of 2 min jogging; 1 min walking. My troublesome knee did not complain, though I was aware of appreciable fatigue at the end of 51 minutes. I am aware that recovering fitness will take time. I need to be patient, but overall, I am pleased with progress.
@NZD , a good session.
@PeterFay it was a pleasant day for peak bagging, though perhaps a bit breezy on the tops
@alehouse Good to hear that your legs coped well with a good workout
@Hilly Good luck tomorrow
@Welshpoppy I hope that RHR settles soon.
@Solo I imagine that β€˜making the most of the weather’ is code for a good run.

Decided to check the M75-79 course record times in the 5k Runner app for the London parkruns @alehouse mentioned. Interesting ...

+ Dulwich = 23:33 - 28 sec better than my best Millwater M75 time

+ Burgess = 24:01 - exactly my Millwater M75 time

+ Victoria Docks = 24:53

All held by the same guy. Hmm. So tempting. If only. Kind of a bit far for me to travel on a Saturday morning though πŸ˜’.

@Welshpoppy, must be frustrating it is dragging on, especially with Cardiff HM looming and Swansea Bay 10k little more than 2 weeks away.
@Solo you seem to have the pick of the UK weather. Hopefully the training is going well. Seems you have a fairly full race programme through September too.

@Hilly, hope it works out well tonight.

@Torque Steer & @Canute, interesting to see how in sync your progress is. Great that you are both managing the longer running repeats without significant problems. Looking positive. Just need to avoid aggravating anything and slipping backwards
@alehouse good to see you also managing a tougher session.

@NZD : I checked a friend's Dulwich and Burgess times; 23:18 vs 23:44, so Dulwich was 26 seconds faster, similar to the VM75 record times!

Going to have an easy day today after aqua jog/"run"/tough S&C/"run" the last four days. Indeed, don't want to aggravate anything.

Off to cricket again; should be warmer than yesterday!

Wordle in four yesterday; yet to try today's.

That's progress, TS, even if not the intended run. πŸ˜‰

WP - I had so many poor 1 hour sleeps and then a full day at work, which was grim....Hope you get some good quality sleep tonight!

Well done PeterFay and enjoy parkrun.

Solo - we keep saying it's the summer that keeps giving! I hope to run well, but what will be, will be! 😁

NZD - they're tasty M75 - 79 times. πŸ™‚

Setting off to Cheshire after lunch, but will do a couple of easy miles first.

Wordle in 5.

@NZD I think the age group records are great incentives for us more competitive beings and enjoy being able to see them again in the app. I enjoy racing and the comraderie NZD although I won't be doing this weekends planned race. Next week is a key race for me though and I would like to do well.

An easy day sounds sensible @alehouse

@Canute Running, walking, gardening, sitting, all the more pleasant in warm sunshine 🌞 Losing fitness when we are older is easy. Regaining it not so but you are making positive progress for sure.

Absolutely @Hilly run strong.

@Hilly hope the new hairdo gives you a bit more streamlining :-)
You have done well to resist doing too many mile sthis week - run strong tonight!

@Welshpoppy that's very frustrating for you - it seems to come on for no apparent reason?

@PeterFay excellent summiting :-)!

Peebles - now there's a place I haven't been to in an age...

@NZD - well that would be one way to top up the air miles :-)

@Solo what is the planned race next week?

@Canute I think you have a few more hairs than me now :-)
That was a big step up for you and good to hear that there was no reaction

First autumn chill in the air this morning so I crossed over to the sunny side of the streets to do 3.3 miles in 43 min with 1min walk/2min run with HR 127/146 - a bit more constrained than yesterdays mad pace :-)
Knee didn't like the last one just as I finished so walked back home in what was now pleasant and warm sunshine

You are certainly filling your days Peter. Safe travels if you are homeward bound.
NZD there is certainly a career to be had going around chasing those age cat records. We are lucky in the UK that there are so many to go around. V60 record for Victoria Dock is17:50 so no chance I'll bectrouling that tomorrow πŸ˜‰
