Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Live Aid was the summer at the end of my first year at uni and my friend and I decided to stay in Wimbledon and work. We rented a room in a big house - there were beds, a sofa a tv and a table in the room but we had to share the toilet, bathroom and kitchen with other renters.Fun times :)

We were living in our first house, sat outside with neighbours drinking and listening to/watching live aid. I recall OH and said neighbour planting bacardi bottles in the garden to see if they would grow!!!

Live Aid - just after I finished second year university. I ended up taking two years off then as I'd had a foul year that year and didn't touch a piano for well over a year, I was so fed up with things. From what a friend of mine says (had same piano teacher in uni), she was equally traumatised by the teacher.

Live Aid; in the summer between lower & upper 6th form. Had no money. Spent most of the day watching it on the TV except for the bands I didn't like. Then I mooched outside; I seem to recall it was a bit overcast :-)

I lost interest when it switched to the evening in the US only, and I missed the disastrous performance by Led Zeppelin.

I was with my first serious girlfriend on the day of Live Aid. We had a Chinese take-away in the evening and watched some of it on tv

Apart from the fact it took place, I have no recollection of Live Aid.

I had only the faintest awareness of Live Aid at the time it took place. I had no television and was up to the eyeballs in university.
