Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Well spotted, um. I can confirm that being a geriatric scrote doesn't protect against sun damage to the scalp. But yes, only those who are a little thin on top.

I remember my ears when applying sun cream but don't always remember to remove my hearing aids before starting to do so ;)

My hair covers my ears. This is policy on my part, to hide the hearing aids.

I usually end up with a bright red strip where my parting is, I really should vary it or wear a hat more often. I have also burned my ears in the past with the sun but more often I burn them with the hair straightener:-O

I noticed my dad has a really bad bit on the top of his ear, he says it's nothing sinister but certainly looks like it is :-(

I wore my cap for my 8 mile forest run this morning, but it did not prevent the sweat from my forehead, rolling down the sun cream and into my eyes. It was 21 degrees, so quite hot!

Tip for that. Little bit of vaseline from the bottom corner of one eyebrow all the way over to the end of the other, and a lot of the sweat will run across it and down the sides of your face instead.

I spent three hours paddle boarding inn saturday. My scalp is outrageously tender and yes, I should know better. Older yes. Wiser not so much.

There are advantages to sports that require the use of headwear :)

I am not laughing about anyone's sun damage, because I'm fairly sure I have two little rodent ulcers forming on my forehead and I've been freezing actinic keratosis off my forearms for years.

(I wasn't here, did it before I left; there was one coffee mug in the sink as I left. )
