Previous icy swims have had ice thin enough to swim through. Not today! I was in neoprene from the neck down. My fellow swimmer had socks, gloves and swimsuit…

The sea was a very pleasnt temperature - as evidenced by the lack of bright pink skin when I got out : (Not a very flattering photo but the best I could do with my neoprene gloves on!)
