I thought it would be illustrated with photographs but all the illustrations are by Alice Goodridge and they're gorgeous. It arrived yesterday and I only opened it this morning so this is just first impressions but I'm going to have to pay a lot more attention to it than I'd planned. I thought it was just going to be a guide book to some nice places to swim. Instead, it's a guide to some of things you're swimming with and the landscapes and waterscapes you're swimming or paddling through. Stick it on your Christmas list.

halfpint Nov 2021 7:10pm, 6 Nov 2021 36,025 posts	0 halfpint Sneaked in a Loch swim today. I’m in full neoprene now. I’d guess the water was around 10*. The last few swims I’ve felt a bit nauseous whilst swimming. I’m assuming it’s a cold water thing.
