My friend got a pair and loves them. My old pair where far too big and not helpful for swimming.

Itโ€™s lovely when a new bit of kit works as you hoped. :)

Allerthorpe this morning - 3.5 degrees, apparently. Out of nine swimmers, only two had wetsuits, including me, but I did have to dunk myself in the lake after getting gloves and socks off so I could remove the wetsuit. Water that cold burns, which you already know, but thatโ€™s the coldest Iโ€™ve ever been in. Glad I had a bit of time in it sans wetsuit, but no idea how anyone can swim for any time in that temperature without neoprene. Acclimatisation has limits for me. ๐Ÿฅถ

I've succumbed and bought myself a shortie wetsuit; long sleeves short legs, to wear when it gets colder. I tried it on when it arrived today and was surprised to find it fitted well. :)

I've come here for advice on how to get it off, it went on fine of course but then it was a bit of a struggle to take it off and this was in the comfort, dryness and warmth of my house. I'm possibly going to try it out tomorrow so it would be great to know the best way to approach taking it off please. :)

Itโ€™s much easier to take a wet wetsuit off. So wriggle out of it at the pool.

Also get the top down as as you can over your hips and legs before trying to step out of it.

A bit of body glide can help you get hands snd feet out.

There didn't seem to be a thread devoted to open water swimming, so I thought I'd start one.
