I also spray a hay-fever defence spray up my schnoz before a swim. Yesterday, my nose clip snapped, so I swam without that & just used the spray. I have been a disaster area ever since!
RichHL Jun 2021 11:39am, 21 Jun 2021 16,529 posts	0 RichHL That's a good idea. I have used a nose clip before in the pool but I just couldn't get used to the feeling. It's buried in the bottom of my kit drawer along with my third-best emergency goggles. I should dig it out and persevere.

I'm not an open water swimmer but I would like to be able to swim in the sea off the coast of this country from time to time (not in the winter months). I'd like to buy a wetsuit but have no idea where to start! Can you point me in the right direction and give me any useful tips please?
jda Jun 2021 3:30pm, 22 Jun 2021 10,402 posts	0 jda My first time in a wetsuit was borrowing/renting at an open water beginner’s day. If anyone local does that sort of thing it would be an easy way to see what sort of size works for you.
