I wonder what the ancient Greeks would have made of walking, dancing schoolgirls and smiling in a swimming pool as Olympic sports.

The sailing is a crazy sport to watch, everyone heading out is slightly different directions to ultimately reach the same destination. In a way it’s a bit like orienteering.

Don't underestimate synchronised swimming, it's ridiculous hard to do!

Not convinced about “breaking” being a sport! Race walking is weird but you can’t argue that they are trained athletes |

Pankration was more than brutal from what I understood from learning classics at school. Synchronised swimming, breaking and gymnastics are understandably hard. They are arts and not sports. The Olympic motto is "Citius, Altius, Fortius – Communiter” which translates as “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together.” Dancier, smilier, more points-ier are not included. |

I was mooching about in the ancient games thing. I'd never heard of pankration, I also didn't know about games in different places, like Rhodes, Nemea. Golf is just rubbish. I played it for a while, no idea why I did, awful places Golf clubs. The trousers were the trousers are terrible too. |

I really like watching them and they are very skilful but no in the spirit of the motto? |
