Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Fragile Do Not Bend
Just having a little moan. Generally my GP surgery is good and moving would cause more issues than it solves, but some things they make so bloody difficult.

Picked up my latest prescription from the attached pharmacy - I’ve been given 3 months of Utrogestan but only 1 month of Sandrena. Queried this and told they are rationing it to one month at a time due to supply issues. Fair enough.

So I ask surgery if they can put it on my eConsult so I can request it when I do my monthly request for my antihistamines. No, they can’t do that as it’s classed as an “acute” medication whatever that means. So I’ll need to put a request in writing and drop it off at the pharmacy every month.

I can’t order it from an online pharmacy as the surgery isn’t on that system and has no plans to go on it either. FFS.

I think I might need a visit to the GP. I’m accumulating symptoms.
- periods are few and far between
-anxiety (controlled by fluoxetine)
- hot flushes.

- low mood and total lack of motivation (even for activities I actually enjoy)
-low energy
-difficulty concentrating

Some of it has snuck up and gradually got worse over the last year or so. I’m just now registering how bad it’s got.

Those last three were definitely me last autumn and what promoted me into action. HRT has really helped me get back to normal
