I've been on femoston 1/10 (HRT) and desogestrel (minipill) for 2 years. The GP suggested stopping the desogestrel, which given I had elevated FSH 2 years ago seems reasonable. Wondering if anyone has experience of this switch. Am I likely to get a bleed, for example? Haven't actually discussed it with GP, just got a message from the surgery so didn't have the chance to ask questions.
Menopause symptoms originally (alongside the combined pill) were my running going to shit, fatigue and cold flashes. Fatigue much better, running better though still not great, cold flashes very welcome in the current weather.

Since I’ve started getting symptoms (so several months) I’ve had terrible itchy skin like ants running across it on my inner thighs. Like prickly heat so not helped by running and Lycra. I take antihistamines most days but sometimes end up drawing blood by scratching.
I’m hoping the hrt will help

I'm another one with the itchy skin. It's this that's made me to decide to give hrt a go. It's driving me insane! I'm 6 days into oestrogel and it does seem to be settling, though not so keen on the stomach cramps and sore boobs!

pleased I am not alone but the itchiness is the same area (inner thighs) and gets inflamed and on bad days looks like eczema or similar as it gets red and dry I've been using tonnes of moisturiser which seems to help a little but I think it's a bad combination of age and runner and chubby.

EP - I can assure you it ain’t because of chubby. My inner thighs do not rub but it was chronic last year. The rash last year and this year was from head to calf. Was one of the reasons that forced me to the GP. I would not have gone otherwise as the constant bleeding really was very little. More like constant spotting.
Interestingly since going on progesterone which helped me sleep and after surgery had slept well for 5 weeks the rashes have significantly improved. The gp had booked me in to see the dermatologist and had sent them photos in March. Yesterday saw the GP about what the dermatologist recommended (yes 3 months) and decided not to receive any of the prescribed meds due to the improvements.
Sometimes I sleep with a sheet between my legs as this seems to help

I've found germolene is quite good for sore/itchy skin as it numbs it a bit.
