Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Including different categories should be just a case of including them in the if statement (in my very basic coding head) so not a complicated fix for fetch I think

But you can overthink things

Gardening could include a lot of strength work and lifting! Or battle ropes

I have to say I just log everything as "Strength" whether it's with actual weights or bodyweight stuff (eg pressups), but then that's because I use my Garmin to log it, and I can't be fannying about with finding any other settings somewhere below Snowboarding and Otter Tickling.

I have an older Garmin and it logs stuff under an IQ app as "Cross training-General" and I then tag it as what I've done. I've used CrossFit, Weights, Strength and Core over the duration of 2023 because they're all different things but they're all broadly developing strength.

I don't care Nellers I was just being silly. If I remember to log my throws and jump training I just chuck it under track and field. I don't bother with badges or leagues - that's why I was a bit surprised to discover I was voting for a league! I don't think it's a bad idea, I mean I'm sure it's a GOOD idea, just not something I do.

But I ALWAYS do what V-rap tells me to.

I think I might just keep a tally with pencil and paper after all.

I'm thinking about changing the way I log my weight training and strength training. Will give it some thought before my first 2024 session tomorrow.

I think, for me, logging everything that is for strengthening as strength and then using the tags to differentiate would work.
I need to write down what tags I use though or I’ll get very inconsistent!

Sounds like a good idea, Rosehip.

So our gym (in the flat complex so no one to ask) has a weird selection of DB in lbs and kg and I don't know whether the weights on the equipment are in lbs or kg but two of the stations have two numbers. Why?

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
