Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Actually Linds, looking at the first pic it might be to do with the peg in the middle? But the discrepancy between the numbers gets bigger doesn't it?

Article on reddit, not a source I often use; however, the 1st reply, although it's 5 years old, seems to make sense.

tl:dr 'This is the conversion between the Machine Weight and the Free Weight. Essentially one number is the actual weight of the plates that are being lifted, and the other is the weight when you consider the assistance provided by simple machines (levers/pulleys) used in the machine...'

I went back to the gym today. Gym was very quiet. One lady told me she hadn't intended to be back in the gym so soon, but over the festive period her grandson asked her if she has a baby in her tummy 😲

Pix - she laughed about it. She told her grandson it was chocolate, not a baby.

I laughed too. I reckon 'Out of the mouths of babes,' and all that! Should say it to a few blokes I see kicking around Hastings sea front. Talk about Gut Lords marching!

I was back at the gym today. It was a little busier than usual but not too bad yet.
I need to build a new plan as mine wasn’t satisfying today.

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
