Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I think it depends what inspires you. If tyre flipping inspires you to train because you picture yourself in a strong woman comp then it's great. Finding what keeps you motivated will make a big difference to staying consistent.

Flipping a tractor tyre is great training for front row forwards, if you fancy taking up rugby, Pix :D
And yes, they're damned heavy.

Pix - I thought of you this morning. Someone had fly tipped a lorry tyre on my run route!

I swear etiquette at my gym is getting worse. People are just walking away from machines and leaving them loaded with 20kg plates that I can barely lift (let alone being unsure if theyโ€™re in use). I never see anyone with towels and sanitising spray is non-existent. And I seem to spend more time roaming the gym looking for plates then actually working out-not helped by the addition of more machines.

I'd find that do irritating, Meglet. Glad Mr Ness and I have our home gym.

Also spotted a weights rack with 4 x 20kg plates on one side, near the top, and nothing on the other. Whoโ€™d load it like that? (I asked a nearby man to redistribute)

Yep. Another annoying thing. Who does that?! Mr Ness and I often end up sorting weight racks when we use hotel gyms because of that! ๐Ÿ™„

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
