Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Back IS core of course - there are lots of small muscles involved there that we misuse or don't use letting something else take over (me)

bent over rows, lat pull downs and deadlifts - all of which you can do effectively with resistance bands at home :-)

Useful to know. I do those in two of the three weight training sessions I do each week. :)

with 2 5m races I can train through and nothing until October I am definitely going to be more focused from now

Today is my post race relax day which I will follow with an easy recovery week whilst I write some plans up
There may be less proper runs for a few months but you have to step back to move forward sometimes

I always think it’s too easy to cheat on bird dogs. Try doing them from a bear crawl position (ie knees hovering off the ground) to make them much harder. Or use a resistance band between the opposing hand / foot.

I'm finally back at a weekly Pilates class after taking a 10 month break.

Recently I noticed that what core strength I had was starting to diminish,

along with some flexibility. Going back to Pilates I can feel I'm now using those core muscles again.

Then legs/glutes session in the gym.

Gym really busy now on Monday mornings, feels strange after a quiet couple of years.

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.
