I could but I expect I will be unlucky - I expect those who do go will be the ones close to retirement and agency people
so carry on getting up at 5:30!

I think it's no coincidence that my best ever running year was also when I was made redundant.

Just worked out all the combinations I can do on my old barbell set
If I use all the plates that came with it (and the dumbbells that were also part of the set) I can get to 53Kg
The plates on my new dumbbells do fit on the barbell - so assuming they all fit on I guess potentially I could get to 73Kg
Yesterday I upped my dumbbell weights next week I will up my barbell weights for lower body stuff

I will have to "make time" as they say Normally when I get home from my commute it's chat for a few mins with Mr then bath eat and then it's almost time for bed!
I'm trying to add more movement into my day so squats in loo breaks and short HIIT sessions doing cross body punches
Every little counts hey especially if it stops me eating LOL!

I used to do my weight training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday after work but it meant eating later on those night. And of course, quarter to five get ups to fit runs in. It meant I had a serious deficit sleep wise so I don't recommend it for a long term strategy.

If you’re stuck for time there’s a really, really, really simple leg & trunk strength exercise you can do that will also work your foot muscles. Standing on one leg barefoot or in your socks. There’s a fair bit of research on how important the ability to stand on one leg is, mainly done by Physiotherapists.

I'm sure my current ballet classes are as much if not more use than most of the S&C work I do! There is so much balancing. On both legs - demi-pointe (high balls of feet), on one leg- flat and demi pointe - with other leg in various positions. I've never wobbled so much in my almost twenty years of running/athletics!
I have that genuine thing of 'DOMS in muscles I didn't know I had.'

My 21yo daughter has been dancing since she was 3, her balance and core strength are amazing. When we went to Go Ape a few years back she was scampering across the obstacles with barely a wobble!
