I went to a spin class last night then thought I’d do some upper body weights. The gym was so busy I could barely get near anything, did sets of two exercises then left. When does this January rush die down?

Still going with this 3x week bootcamp. Even 5 (?) weeks in I can feel myself getting stronger Really struggling to find the time to add a couple of sessions at home as well, I do have time about 9pm but I am almost a corpse by that time of night! |

When does this January rush die down? My coach thinks the end of February, Meglet - there has been a bit of glut of people who were late starting NY resolutions so they are still in the first flush of determination, but that will die off after half term next week. I do hope so 🤞 That is very expensive, EvilPixie. That's how much I get charged (a month) for adding gym membership to my monthly swim package. |

I thought it was £5+ I shan’t be using it! Makes membership seem cheap 😮 but no I won’t be tempted to return |

I think a typical gym visit round here is £8-10. Definitely a more expensive way of doing things than a monthly membership My bootcamp is £60 for 3 x sessions a week, so basically £5 a time which I think is good. I also pay £9 month (I think) for Les Mills on demand but I’m only doing like one core session a week, I really want to add at least one body pump in. Ideally I would like to add loads of things but need to somehow work out how to do this! |

If you use it and enjoy it Gymfreak then it's worth it. Mr Ness recently bought me a 'body pump' bar and plates for about £60. I use videos off YouTube. There are ads in them but it means I don't pay for them. I found a nice set of videos where the ads aren't too obtrusive. |
