hmmmmm I seem to have an awareness of my latimmus doris (back of shoulder think that's the right name of the muscle) on my right side not sure if this is 1) I'm using it or 2) I'm doing something wrong or 3) I've fractionally increased weights (still low) but whichever it is I am obviously lopsided! It's not stopping me doing anything I'm just aware of a bit of tension there.

Weight training paying off - walked the length of the most of the building carrying a box of paper (13kg) without flinching! go me!

USEFUL strength! That's where it's at! It used to annoy me that I went to BodyPump classes while my XH, who had never trained in his life and had no visible pectoral muscles, could lift and carry things I couldn't budge off the ground.

Improved leg strength had been apparent during our Lakeland hill walks. I’m better balanced and am lowering myself on one leg as I step down rocks rather than just kind of dropping, if that makes sense. I’m much more stable and safer.

That’s one thing I still find quite difficult, large steps down, I feel a bit like my knees won’t keep control. I have found using a pole really helps, but hoping to keep improving on that.

I still have the fear about big steps down, as my left knee cap dislocated during lockdown just stepping down off a high plyo box!
