Think winter is the time to focus on lifting heavier. Spring and Summer are there for the more explosive lighter/ no weight stuff. Also the Oly lifts deal with the power side for me so no need to do that with squats/ deadlifts. Squat jumps, etc may happen later in the season.

The ever elusive chin up, CK2 - my first goal with your OH and still not managed it ππ mind you, my increasing weight makes that even more of a challenge every week... I think that will be my 2018 goal

SPR - I read the last phase of that schedule as "puking" !!!
Sharkie - you were right, 2nd PT session yesterday and no aching today - well not yet anyway!!
Duracell - I also have a goal to do a chin up, and I'd love to do a full press up - atm can only manage them from my knees.

I'm still doing box pull-ups and negative pull-ups - might bring my band with me tomorrow to try an almost-full one!
Managed 85kg in my 3RM deadlifts today, followed by another 2 sets at 75kg, then some core/oblique work on cable machine, and TRX pike planks. Have a sports massage booked in this afternoon!

I'm never motivated enough to do pull ups regularly. I can do them but I'm mediocre. I have bands to use with them so I add volume but never been consistent.

I think my lifting goals for next year are 3 pull-ups in a row (I can do 1 and last year managed 2 but canβt do that now!) and, like kwala, proper press ups (I can do them but itβs very on and off. Iβd like much better form). Itβd also be great to improve my deadlift. Duracell - although gaining weight is rubbish for pull ups itβs great for deadlifting!

Hi all some really impressive stuff going on in here yet again ππͺπͺ I don't think I'll ever be able to do the the kind of weights you are all achieving and most definitely not my body weight! π€£
However my negative pull ups are getting stronger π atm PT makes me put one foot on his hands to do them (2 sets of 5) My first 2 of each set are really strong and he says it's virtually all me he feels as if he's not taking any weight. Next 3 he is helping as I get tired. He's moved the chair on my goblet squats! That shook me up a bit as I'm so used to it being 'right there' He's right of course I have to perfect the form and not rely on the chair but I did wobble a few times π I'm also doing 20kg squats (dumbell held by weight end? Sumo squat? ) on a high step so I can get lower into the squat. They're hard but improving. Triceps dips getting better I started out do controlled downs on one leg but now I'm pushing back up on all of them.(lots of grunting involved) Press ups were fun lol. Whacked out 2 sets of 10 on the ball with it under my lower shins! Some growling here also occurred to the point of almost barking ππ. I have actually done full ghecko press ups in my bootcamp but can't go as low as I'd like to. My lateral pulls are definitely stronger and I think I need to up the weight. Also I'm doing some shoulder strengthening work now I have almost full movement in it he's working on the muscles
around it to keep the movement there. All progressing nicely for me here in the lower division with aspirations to make it to the premiership π
