First lifting session in a week! It’s been a bit of a crap week and I’m very tired so I kept it simple:
Deadlifts 48kg

Bench 30kg

Bent over rows 32kg
Pleased with that and ready for Christmas now!

I used the gym for the first time in months and found the assisted pull up machine 😲 I love this machine. I found out my max 1 rep pull up atm is assisted by 32kg off set(considering I'm 77.5kg I was happy) . I can rep in sets if 5 at 49kg off set. Not the greatrst but definitely a start point. My PT if off for 2 weeks over Christmas.... Not happy so I'm using my unused gym membership. I did 2x5 reps of decline pull ups, 2x5 assisted 49kg pull ups then tried for my 1 rep max pull up. Finally nailed it at 32kg. I also did my full PT session then some ab work. I want to work on some plyometrics so practiced on a gym step and whacked them out at highest step will go. In the gym they have 12in and 18in steps. I trounced the 12in step. Attempted the 18in and done 1 just.... My aim is to be as to do the 18in before getting back to my PT sessions. I'm hoping my pull ups will see a big improvement as well. I did 20kg squat on the 12in step and kettlebell squats down to the 12in step. A few bits of ab work, some press ups along with rows on the machine too.

Great that you've re-discovered your gym EB, sounds like an awesome session. star I wish I had the confidence to get back in mine. It's closed for a couple of days now though.

Well done folks! Some great work going on :)

Upper body this morning - pull ups with green band felt a bit easier this week. Managed 1 rep of 40kg for bench press but had to be rescued trying a second, and managed 2 reps at 38.5kg.

Have been watching Juggernaut videos on YouTube for squat tips this afternoon - some really good videos from them available.

EB - I’m very impressed with those plyo jumps. I find box jumps really hard and my head gets in the way and I chicken out!

I also get stage fright CK2 - you know you can physically do it, but your head says no!

After doing my first gym class/bootcamp in months at lunchtime, I need to get more cardio in again! Have also just ordered knee sleeves for squats, and a new pair of F-Lites :)

I started a new weights program yesterday and am so sore today! Has anyone tried single leg deadlifts (I can’t balance so keep the non working leg o tip toe) - work of the devil!
