SLDs are awesome! I try and do 3 X 10 on each leg each day just as a Bodyweight exercise to help my hamstring recovery
Last PT of 2017 for me this morning and really not feeling it... Boo

Just arranged for my first introduction to crossfit class on Saturday. Nervous it all looks very intimidating.

Woo! Great way to end the year I am just 3kg shy of a Bodyweight lift now. I am totally having that 50kg in January!

Exciting, EB Maybe Crossfit will turn out to be a thing you love; you won't know till you try.
Magnificent progress, Brig
eL Bee! tells me that he's found a 7-minute fingerboard sequence that might have some functional benefit for climbing rather than just being an attempt to have nice shoulders when running in a vest. It would have the added merit that the fingerboard is in the house, not out in the garage.

I think doing some fingerboard work would benefit me too! I have rubbish shoulders but my hand, wrist and forearm strength is non existent!

Fantastic PB Brig. A bodyweight squat feels a long way off at the moment!
I’d forgotten fingerboards! When I used to climb (very poorly) I used to like playing with them at the climbing centre, though mainly to try doing pull ups!

I suspect at the moment I won't be able to do anything other than dangle limply from the big jug holds on top of the fingerboard.
Wrists are a limiter for me with climbing at present, but that's from carpal tunnel syndrome rather than anything I can improve by training. I don't have any rest pain in my hands and my grip is still reliable, so I'm not in the market for surgical treatment yet.

I've never tried climbing - pretty sure I'd dangle for a second before falling off! Grip strength has improved greatly since I started deadlifting (although my hands are pretty shredded after a session!). And well done Brig - that 50kg will be yours in no time
Would also love to give Crossfit a proper go, but can't really justify the price up here - did a couple of taster sessions years ago when I was manager of a running shop, and we gave their members a discount, and remember barely being able to drive home!
Deadlifts this morning, with 4 reps at 85kg, then 3 more sets at 77.5kg - I'm having a bit of an issue inside a bum cheek during heavy sets though! Not a pain, just a tightness or pressure inside top of left cheek, which I suspect must be connected to back/adductor somewhere - not really somewhere I can stretch (or that I want sports massage guy to stick an elbow...).

Impressive deadlifting IW!
I have intermittent pain in a similar area. I have had sports massage (thought a little embarrassing when it was a male physio!) and it would appear to be down to tight glutes for me. However I can't work out what sets it off as it can be running or weight training. It started when I was doing a lot of weighted walks in training for an event. I should stretch it more than I do!
