Oh Helegant, I could learn a lot from you!

I wish I had seen Happy Valley from the beginning, but the third series was so good I don't want to spoil the first two by watching them 'with hindsight'.

I've just finished a crocheted earflap hat, which looks great off my head, but ridiculous on, so it's going to a charity shop, and I'll start something else. I'm on a stash-busting mission, so looking for quick wins!

Tink liked my handknitted hat when I visited her last week, and was happy for me to knit one for her. "And I can't have enough hiking socks," she added. I have a purpose :)

Did anybody else watch Happy Valley? There was a moment a crochet blanket featured, I was hoping it was wool and not acrylic. Also the implication that one of the characters had made it, which fits with all the jumpers she wore, as well as Catherine’s scarf. (I was wondering why one sleeve of a variegated jumper matched the body but not the other, I guess it was to complete the handmade look, great attention to detail)

I liked the variegated jumper, I made a mental note to knit something similar when I have finished my current project.

I can't have been the only one yelling at the telly on Sunday evening: not the crocheted blanket!
