I've started trying to do socks on magic loop but I've put it away in the naughty corner for a while. I started this whilst increasing my hours at work and my brain just can't cope with it. I'll pick it back up in a couple of weeks when I get more used to full time hours at work.

Having used magic loop for a while, I'm with HellsBells, and like Meglet I now use two circulars.

Just me with the DPNs then? I quite like using them. I've done sleeves TAAT on 2 circs, and use circulars for most of my knitting, but have never tried magic loop.

DPNs for socks here, though I do also have some tiny sock circs that are nice to use when they happen to be just the right size which maybe half of the time. I bought some fancy carbon fibre DPNs that I love to use. They go faster :nods wisely:

I often use circs instead of straight single point needles because they're easier to transport and use on the train, and I have a lovely set of knitpro interchangeable ones in rosewood that cover pretty much every size I could want.

Dpns for socks and some sleeves. Another fan of 2x circular. I have rosewood envy though. They sound beautiful.

I’ve just discovered that hiya hiya make their own version of flexiflips, called flyers, in a choice of sharp steel, blunter steel or bamboo. I’ve ordered a set of sharp steel 2.5mm - theoretically these could be my absolute ideal sock needles

I love my knitpro interchangeable needles...some metal, and a few in rosewood or the rather oddly square needles, which, once used to them, are good.

I’m so used to using circulars for everything that if I ever use straight or dpns I find I automatically drop them at the end of a row!

I used dpn for my socks have a variety of (long) circular needles but use them like normal ones (when I'm in a car it means I can't loose a needle - a frequent occurrence using straight ones when younger)
