I was thinking I would look at the book I bought
Try the mini jumper (think it's like an 8" version so teddy size!)
then if OK I would try the hat
I don't do DPNs though so would have to play!!

I think a lot of people have the view that ‘wool’ is itchy but I think in modern times it’s not as itchy as you think. I’m using drops Alaska 100% wool for my husbands sweater!

I’ve always been a bit of a yarn snob!

It depends what it is. I'm fine with merino. But even a small amount of lambswool can be an issue, I don't get on with alpaca or mohair either.

My mum spent ages making me a proper aran jumper when I waas little but I couldn't wera it, even with something underneath.

Does anyone here knit socks on mini circulars rather than dpn or magic loop? I think I would get on best with this way. Have used dpns for hat crown but I don't think I was using them the right way, it felt so slow and I hated faffing with so many needles. Just got some sock yarn and really keen to cast on...

straight needles for 2 rows then knit onto the circular and crack on
use dpns for the end of the toes
