Finishing day achieved yesterday

Shirt done - there was a family WhatsApp argument about whether it should have pink or black buttons, so I compromised. The cuff buttons are pink on the left and black on the right

Mr HB was at a district committee meeting last night so I watched an ancient episode of Frost and wove in ends for a couple of hours

The wee beastie
I am so impressed by everything you have all made. I don't know if any of you will be able to help, but I am looking for a bit of advice. My niece has asked for a crochet kit for her 11th birthday. She does a lot art, drawing etc. but hasn't tried crocheting before. Any ideas on what would be suitable?

I’m afraid I know nothing about crochet except that I have failed to really get to grips with it

Can't suggest any kits sadly but can highly recommend Bella crochet on YouTube if she is a visual learner
