I can’t say I’ve found anything like Ravelry for sewing. Wouldn’t it be great?!

I find searching for the right pattern a real pain, often it’s scrolling through hundreds of similar Simplicity patterns that still look like the models are from the 70s

HB - i’ve used textillia.com in the past. You can’t search by fabric length, but you can on many other requirements, so it might be useful..

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions which have given me some good ideas. Still don't know what I'll actually do, mind.

Thanks - I think it’s probably going to be a jacket, I’m just not sure which yet
Going back to the Italian cast on - it’s a tubular cast on and I’m doing a variation of it on Mr HB’s sweater. It gives a very neat edge which I like, but can I recommend not doing it with a very splitty dark blue yarn!

Wonderful work Purps!

I have a small amount of boiled wool, bought specifically to make a short jacket, must get on with it.

I made a boiled wool jacket from this pattern: https://www.dragonflyfabrics.co.uk/product/the-anni-blazer-dragonfly-patterns-paper/. It was pretty easy and came out quite well with a couple of mods (no button, and patch pockets added). Happy to show you the FO if that would help.

That is lovely Drell, but not quite the shape I’m after - I probably want something quite fitted that I can wear in court. I also prefer paper patterns, I’m fairly useless at sticking the bits together!
