Would you (any of you!) use these regularly instead of pins? I can't imagine sewing without pins.

I do, but then I do a lot of bag making and quilt making which sometimes involves thick (or lots of) layers

I use them with pins - easier to get them on without disturbing layers, then pin in between if needed!

I’d seen them previously on a bag making tutorial. It looks like they don’t distort the fabric like pins can... useful for a small project.
I didn’t know you were a quilter fraggle. That‘s what I’m looking at next .. after these curtains.
It looks very addictive.

I use them for clothes making, the only time I use pins now is if I'm sewing a pocket in the middle of a piece of fabric.

I ordered some after seeing Purps recommending them. They don’t go through my machine so I have to detach them as I get to them. I’ve found they’re good for long straight seams that just need a bit of stabilisation, or things like narrow gems or thick layers of waistband that are difficult to pin. I think I still prefer pins though-especially for setting in a sleeve (Or anything else that requires easing) when I used loads of pins!

I much prefer pins too - it may be partly that I’ve used them for over 40 years so anything different feels more awkward

Should say ‘narrow hems’!
