I washing machined some cotton fat quarters ..gentle wash 30 deg etc. They came out like rags. Frayed edges ++ They did iron up ok, but I’m not doing that again.

I would recommend Frumble or 1st for Fabric - the later had minecraft and how to train your dragon fabrics.
