out of curiosity what do the different colour circles around our initals on dropbox signify? Are they just random or is there a reason?

Ladies

Gnome would like a very simple double thickness stocking stitch scarf. i.e. made in the round. I know I can stitch up the ends but is there a way to keep it flat as a scarf? Is this just a blocking thing? or is there something I need to do?

Dammit, wrong website :-O

Double knitting is what you need, Pix ;) That'll give you a flat stocking-stitch-on-the-outside scarf.

What would happen if you did a 'seam' of purl stitches in two places to help it fold? Would it still curl?

You could also do a p1k1 rib. It would have the appearance of stocking stitch on both sides yet lie flat and be thicker.

Here's a pattern that I started for a striped scarf. It's languishing in a bag as one of the colours was too dull and I decided I wasn't keen on it.

FO alert: ravelry.com

A very quick knit, and good practice on magic loop. The thumbs were fiddly, with the combination of magic loop and stripes.

Home from a full day health&safety course to find that Santa had delivered the last part of my present from my sisters...a top whorl spindle :-)

Well done on the mitts Drell!
