Liking the Nelverine plan! :-)

2 days into my own plan: L1 yesterday - 8 x 500 / 2', managed 1:50's, and today L4 - 90' steady comprising 4 x 5,000 / 5', all evenly paced at 22:30. It went better than I was expecting, no drama and a nice sensible HR.

Also managed to break the 7k barrier for 30' at the weekend and passed 1,000,000 metres for the season yesterday.

Like that Muttley :-D

Mousey.. thats some good going ! and a million since May 1 is a lot of metres ! How many lifetime ones ?

That 8 x 500 suggests your 2km time can come down quite a bit too ! ( 7:40 to 7:45 ? .. probably better )

Jef - 1,170,000 :-) Got the machine March '17, so only 170k in 1st 14 months, the rest is since 1st May with a 2 month layoff mid summer.

Re the 2k time, I'm planning a retest in the next few weeks (slightly scared).

I think you've got it well covered. If the process is right the results take care of themselves. Consistency is king.

Agreed, Jef, I believe in the process and I'm working on the consistency - but we both know it's going to hurt! :-o

Nellers, you're a long way ahead, mate - I have a long term target in mind, but I'm in no hurry because we both know it's going to hurt :-)

Did I mention it's going to hurt?

I seem to live on Youtube rowing channels at the moment. THis one gives 3 short workouts that might be fun for people to try.

Well, 2 short workouts and the suggestion that you have a go at a 2km test. Good advice people.

Mousey, I'm planning to give the 2km a go on Saturday. Not at all sure what I'll get as I've not done anything much with any intensity recently. I'll be happy if I can get under 7:40 and not puke.
