- actually just remembered today's WOD was 4 x 5 mins, not 500m - doh!
I'm two days away from completing the January revolutions 20 rows. Then I'm away from my C2 for a week and need to think about what to focus on for Feb & March. Will probably use the Rowalong 2K plan for a few weeks.
Getting back to it after (another) pinched nerve/sciatica issue. Did a cautious 2 x 10 min @ r20 on Friday and another 3 x 10 min @ r20 this morning. No ill effects so I'll continue to (re)build up over the next few weeks.
It did for a while, mate. It's weird. I do all this rowing, biking, lift weights, swim, run. No real problems with it for ages. It came on after I'd swum 2 weeks back. I was fine in the pool, got showered and changed after and drove home and could feel it when I got out of the car. If I pinched a nerve did I do it getting in or out of the car or craning my neck round for reversing into a parking space? If I knew what was causing it I'd stop doing that but it seems so random.
It can be the oddest thing that does it I think Nellers. I know sometimes with me it's just been a tiny movement and I feel it "go". You're doing the right thing with building up muscle to protect things, it'll make it less likely in the future.
I pinged mine as I was parking the erg in its usual place underneath the stairs. No idea why because I take it out and put it back every other day for the workout. As I did today, without a peep from the nerve. Seems very random.
