Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’ve had my chocolate eating head on this weekend. I thought I’d come on here and be accountable for my actions. I’m back on it now. I’m going to wait until Friday to weigh as I don’t want to see a gain.

News is not good here. I've been on holiday, and felt fatter by midweek. The last couple of days I ate little, but came back 300g heavier, Two days and some feeding later, another 800g.

On holiday, I did 185 000 steps in seven days (this included a half-marathon). I don't really see that continuing. It's a lot easier to rack up 20-30 thousand steps a day when the sun is shining, you're by the beach, and there's places to go and things to see.

I hope you had a good holiday & congrats on the half. That was a lot of steps.

It’s sad how eating and enjoying life is turned negative due to the impact it has on our weight.

I also can’t understand how a few days with eye off the ball the weight goes up so how much focus to get it off again takes ten times as long.

Feeling a bit deflated myself at the moment, not able to exercise and being so careful what I eat.

Sorry it's not good for you, Jaks, Dvorak and GG.

I surprisingly had the opposite effect on holiday. Despite eating loads and having protein bars after every gym visit and a fair number of coffee and cake stops, when I did my weight check yesterday I was....

Down below my target weight. Then I added up the walking mileage I'd done with Mr Ness while away for the month and realised it was almost 240 miles! Just need to try and keep the weight off now!

Wow that is a huge amount of miles and you were also sensibly ate in a lot if your holiday. I lost weight while in Hong Kong too (albeit only 2lb) but again it was the increased exercise particularly walking. Maybe when I retire & stop being on my backs it 80% if the day I’ll see progress 🤣🤣
