Thanks B but at my advanced age of nearly with a 6 in it I,ll continue to be a wimp lol However I did get the xc spikes on yesterday for some hill sprints on grass in the (cold) sunshine. Could almost feel some heat from the sun when sheltered from the wind. Legs tingle today |

A new parkrun pb and getting closer to my 6 year old 5k pb, only 15 seconds off now! Didn't think I'd beat that until the tail end of this year!

A sounds 21.5k in the snow and ice (which has been recently cleared and is not too thick now); significant negative split and felt like I really got going on the second half. quite fancy taking the bike out (also be-spiked) but I have to build up the will to dig my way to the shed door to get it out :/ |

Nice little 3 miles. My cycling accompanying person then said they wanted a go, so I hopped on the bike, for the mile or so home.

Today's run was completely different to the one planned. The old dog, for the first time ever, could not get under, over, or round, a certain gate, so we detoured to a different hill. Funnily enough we saw the vet yesterday who told me she was very overweight. Which might explain why she does not clear gates with the ease she used to, and it also helps explain my anger at the rest of the fecking family who feed her off the table and give her more food when she gives them her 'feed me eyes'
