Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Garmin Coach has got a handle on the sort of training I'm likely to do, but wants me to do it 60-90s/mile faster than I've been doing so far.

says "primed and ready"

never seen that before it's happy with everything this morning

Status maintaining - hardly surprising, but better than the recovery that it was.

Strained.

Yeah, feel it. BB been around 30 for the last 3 days, bottomed out every day for a week.

Can't shake this lingering fatigue after my cold which is now weeks ago!

Sigh
I have the conflict of a "Productive" training status and a "Low" training readiness - which seems to me to place an over-reliance on its' own dodgy sleep data. Thing is, my sleep data is consistent, and has never been more than 'Fair' - in which case I'll never be ready for anything.

Being gaslit by my own watch to talk me out of training! :-O :-)

(Good job I ignore it)

That is confusing! And best to ignore it.

@Sigh : I don't think that's a contradiction or conflict. Your training up to this point in time has been productive (ie you've done enough volume and intensity to improve your fitness).

That level of volume and intensity, though, has left you, at this point in time, with a level of fatigue that would suggest a rest is in order.

It might or might not be accurate (how do you actually feel?) but it's two different things being measured (history and prediction based on history).

That's a fair assessment, @Nellers - however, I've just been for another run as tomorrow we're out shopping with MiL - and after the additional run my status is still 'Productive', so I'll accept that :-)

Have a look at this article (and the preceeding two) on Training Stress Balance. They're fractionally different definitions, though the same overall concept - comparing short and longer term training trends. A 'productive' status in Garmin is roughly equivalent to a TSB of -10 to -30.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
