Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I got 'detraining' for most of the second week on the cruise but it changed as soon as I did some training at home. Today Garmin says...

BB - 47 now, down from 80 when I got up. "Your Body Battery is down 33 points since you woke up. If you feel like exercising, go for it. It makes your body more resilient over time."
VO2 max - superior 48
Training status - Maintaining - High Aerobic Shortage
Load - optimal 720
Sleep Score - good 81 for 7h 7m "continuous"
RHR - 48 so a bit up compared to my usual. Maybe the heat.
Suggested run - "Base 10:10/mi 39:00" my run was about that.

Double runs today in heat way over 22°C, Garmin gave me 4% adaptation and only for the second run :)
I don’t know why that bothers me 🤣

What does Garmin say about the temperature in your place, Bowman? I ran over an hour in 23.3°C and increased from 27% to 32%. I think I got a huge rise last Friday when I ran in 28.3°C from 13% to 27%. It wasn't pleasant but I got it done.

My highest anaerobic effect ever today, lol. 4.3 combined with 3.7. It's false of course as it's due to higher HR that is for cooling rather than a true marker of lactic levels in this heat.

tipsku Garmin has have the temperature at 21° many times when I go out in the heat, and in the second run yesterday when I got some points, Garmin had 22°. So it’s always showing a bit less sometimes much less.
It’s as you say, it only uses official stations such as airports, and sometimes it differs apparently:)

Still hrv unbalanced, but a little up on where it was. Rhr 40, apparently 5 hrs 30 sleep, 68/fair.
Training readiness is low, but ‘busy day ahead? Don’t worry you got this!”
Suggestion is 75 mins base @ 12:55.

Will be about an hour and even slower than that.

My garmin seems to show the temperature consistent with my phone which is set to location

The wording on the heat acclimatisation screen says it takes temperature off smart phone and that’s what shows on the face during the day. But when I record and exercise the temp seems way different

Same for me, it takes location from phone, unless you set a static location manually.
But thal location is not the exact location where you are, but the nearest official weather station as garmin sees it, to that location.

I also see some discrepancy with that as you say EP, and that is, watch says for instance 23 C at that particular time of day, I go out in that heat, but later the activity does not record that temperature anyway. So i guess it's two different processes.

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
